For those that have been watching the Olympics, you might have noticed the Reebok Yao Ming has been wearing. This shoe was specifically designed for Yao and showcases two of Reebok most advanced technologies: Pump and Hexride. Pump is of course the inflatable system found in the ankle area that allows for a more customizable fit, while Hexride incorporates several hexagonally shaped cylinders of air for a ride superior to DMX with a similar cushioning feel. The outsole also features a midfoot vent for added breathability. Yao’s logo adorns the heel, made up of Yao’s jersey number 11, his Zodiac sign, the monkey, as well as his initials. Inspired by traditional Chinese symbols and color tones, the shoe also features an elaborate Dragon design and bold red and gold colors. UPDATE: WE HAVE RECIEVED THE YAO SHOES AND HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT THESE ARE LIMITED TO ONLY 48 PAIRS IN THE US. PHONE ORDERS ARE ACCEPTED.
